As reported by Larry (Major Nelson) earlier today, Xbox LIVE will be starting a new promotional program called “Holiday Deal of the Week”. I’d missed the initial report from Larry about the sale, but I noticed it when logged into Xbox LIVE earlier today.
On the whole, not a lot to [...]

Now that I’ve been bouncing around the NXE for awhile now, what’s the ballyhoo about?
Last month, I mentioned the major points that were expected from NXE. And yes, those points are present in the release. But are these items the end-all, be-all of gaming console updates?
Er… no.
Microsoft Agent Technology
The Xbox avatar subsystem is a decent [...]

Lo and behold!

Firing up the Xbox 360 this afternoon caused the immediate downloading of the install package for the New Xbox Experience (NXE) that we’ve been covering, followed by the updating of the system…

The new UI is, as previously mentioned, extremely reminiscent of the now-famous Windows Media Center. And, if you’re like me, you can [...]

Remember that lil’ ol’ stock trading game that CNBC [GE] has had on a few previous occasions?
Well, it’s baaaack, starting today!
Earlier, I’d mentioned that Flip is already ramping up his blog to handle the new game; with the new rules, he’s devised a new system for crowdsourcing, hopefully to get some readers into the winners’ [...]

It’s coming.
That’s what’s being stated on the Xbox 360 Dashboard for several days now (actually, a few weeks).
The New Xbox Experience (NXE) is headed to connected Xbox 360 consoles on November 19, 2008. All things are pointing to an on-time launch; there has been quite a few announced outages (both big and small) that will [...]

Well, the time has come for the game to wrap up… if you haven’t punched in all of your codes online yet, you should probably get it done ASAP.
Hey, don’t say I didn’t warn you!

The Extended Play Download Days is expected to wrap up today. So, hopefully you’ve been able to snag all your DLC…
I was wandering about (in the physical world) and had picked up a couple of Xbox 360 titles that had been discounted, and I wasn’t quite paying attention to the list of DLC [...]
