Javamancy has completed the upgrade to WordPress 2.6.5.
Thanks for being patient with us. A lot of you fellow bloggers have been upgrading your WordPress blogs as well, so hopefully it’s been relatively uneventful for you. There was a lot of cruft excised as well (hopefully you won’t see any of it!), so it certainly is [...]

WordPress 2.6.5 was released yesterday to address one critical security exploit and three additional bugs.
The major security issue: there appears to be an interesting quirk that manifests as a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) exploit that impacts Apache 2.x IP-based virtual hosts.
As reported by the WordPress folks themselves, they’ve released version 2.6.5 once they learned of [...]

Yep, folks, just like I mentioned earlier, Javamancy got its scheduled upgrade.
In addition to several color changes, the multimedia box (that’s the “picture box” in upper right hand side) has gotten a few new images that may interest you.
Compared to the previous Javamancy upgrade, this is not as dramatic, but it does provide additional theme [...]

Hi, folks!
It does seem unusual to read about a Javamancy upgrade ahead of time, doesn’t it?
But that’s exactly what this is about: a Javamancy upgrade being announced before it occurs…
And no, this is not going to be the new process going forward, but we’re going to be updating the theme elements a bit, [...]

Jane says that WordPress 2.7 development is rolling along fine, but the original November 10, 2008 release date has been pushed back toward the “end of November” (2008).
In light of the upcoming (and there’s no reason at this time to believe otherwise) WordPress 2.7 release, Javamancy will not be undergoing any vast middleware or back-end [...]

As you probably already know, we had [...]

Folks: you’ve clamored for it, and we’ve listened: the FeedBurner RSS feed for Javamancy has been officially killed.
After receiving so many E-mails and IM’s about the poor performance of the FeedBurner-generated RSS feed, Javamancy has returned to the original RSS feed mechanism.
Why is Google Hurting the Technology?
Several people have mentioned that part of the problem [...]

This is a fairly hefty update to Javamancy on its visual interface (user interface, ‘natch).
As you can see, the UI has changed to a completely different layout, with a dramatic shift in fonts and content placements. Also, there is a new image “rotator” in place.
And, thus far, no advertisements.
There are further UI customizations [...]

October was quite a tumultuous month, both for the world and even Javamancy.
November is gearing up to be perhaps as exciting, and maybe more so, than October was.
One of the big things we’ll be doing here is, of course, the long awaited redesign.
Something Happened On The Way To…
… publishing the new Javamancy production version.
There was [...]

Javamancy has completed the upgrade to WordPress 2.6.3.
Thanks for being patient with us. A lot of you fellow bloggers have been upgrading your WordPress blogs as well, so hopefully it’s been relatively uneventful for you. For us, we’ve been experimenting with a new technique for managing the Javamancy comment system during software upgrades, so it [...]
